CBSE School In Haridwar
Haridwar, a very well-known city in Uttarakhand. The name of the city notifies its religious importance and individuality. The name Haridwar is composed of two words ‘Hari’ meaning Lord and ‘Dwar’ meaning door, which means the city is the gateway to reach lords. The city is located in the foothills of the popular Ganga river making it an extremely exciting and holy tourist sight, where almost every religious festival, as well as the gathering, is conducted with overdosed enthusiast, devotion, and with complete rituals. The religious values and significance also prioritize Haridwar because it is scripted in our religious books that during Samundra Manthan (ocean churning) almost every valuable thing came over to the ocean surface including the pitcher of elixir. While Lord Garud ( god of birds) was taking the elixir away from the reach of the Asuras (demons), he dropped a few drops of elixir here in Haridwar along with three other cities namely Nasik, Ujjain, and Prayagraj (earlier known as Allahabad). Even the famous holy Char Dham journey does not begins without stepping into Gangaji of Haridwar.
The place is as educational as it is religious. The city began to educate the young generations even before the human age started. Several Rishi-Munis ( monks and priests) and Saints took their education at the bank of the Ganga river. Every Hindu scripture, manuscript, and even the holy books are incomplete without Haridwar. There are lots of Ashrams (residences of the saints and monks) where the Guru Rishi’s used to teach their students. Ashrams or Guru Ashrams are the places where the saints lived and spread their knowledge of Alphabets, Science, Mathematics, Armor, Culture, Music, Dance, and everything else; for your better understanding, you can consider it as ancient boarding schools for boys and girls to get knowledge and education. Even today many universities and colleges are known by the names of great saints and sages, for example, Acharyakulam (managed by Patanjali group), Gurukul Kangri University, Rishikul State Ayurvedic College, Gurukul Ayurvedic College, etc. The educational importance of Haridwar is unmatchable, even the Rishis and their students also used to practice medicine as Ayurveda at the bank of river Ganga.
The situation hasn’t changed today even a bit in the field of education. The education being delivered is still the same, it is the method and techniques that have changed according to time. Students are well-cultured as well as strong. The education kept in the curriculum is extremely organized and well-scheduled as per age and capabilities. The students are prepared for every mighty situation that they could face in their life as these students will someday run the nation with their treasures of knowledge and education delivered today. The Central Board of Secondary Education also known as CBSE Board takes care of the centralized education providing a general curriculum in every state of the country, along with its state board of education known as Uttarakhand State Board or UK board. Both the two education boards supply education to the students according to the NCERT syllabus in two languages (Hindi and English). The schools have a good green infrastructure including facilities of good water supply, cleanliness, interactive technology, subject-specific laboratories, well-maintained libraries, sports ground, gaming activities, cultural club/ houses, dance/ drama/ music, special classrooms for physical activities such as yoga/ meditation and other exercises, etc.
